Tony's Hazy Update 3/28/05

Just dashing off a note in the time between stories to let you know what's coming up.

The Vegas story is in progress but will wait until next week. Combing through my CD collection reminded me of a story from our trip to Seattle last year. Call it "Primus 2004--The Lost Episode". It involves a band from which the world may never recover. (I just wish they'd tour.)

Also, tomorrow night (Tuesday, March 29), Mary and I will be seeing Rod Stewart perform in Fresno at the Save Mart Center. Will this be another Fleetwood Mac debacle or will Stewart pleasantly surprise me as he has the past times I've seen him live? My only wish; that he only play a handful of the American Songbook melodies (maladies?) and maybe pull out a few rockers like an old Faces tune or two. By the way, yes, I do bet on longshots at the track. I'm a dreamer.

Be back soon...................T.

What People Are Saying About Tony's Hazy Concert Memories

Recently, I got an email from a woman I do not know personally. I almost deleted it unread as spam, but thought I'd check it out. As it turns out, Beth found a link to my site and more specifically, my story on Fleetwood Mac (titled Mac And Cheese, found in the June 2004 archives). She wrote to tell me that she really got a kick out the story and forwarded a link to my site on a Fleetwood Mac Message Board. Many people posted up on the forum, some saying they enjoyed the review, others not so much. But it was fun reading their comments about what I wrote. When I'm approved as a registered user over there, I'll post up to thank them all for their feedback, possibly kicking up more dust around these parts.

If you'd like to peruse these comments for yourself, click on this gigantic link: http://ledge.fleetwoodmac.net/showthread.php?s=ad81bc67e590c6c8ac918eb845279b5e&t=18418&page=1&pp=15

Also, please notice that I finally dished up the final chapter in the Gilmour Floyd/Heartbreaker story. Anticlimatic as it is, its done and I can move onto other subjects. The first new tale will be of a whirlwind vacation featuring concerts from three very diverse artists. One show was here in my hometown of Fresno and two were in Vegas. After reading my concert stories and trying to figure out my musical tastes, some of my loyal (and very patient--thank you) readers may be pretty surprised as to what Las Vegas icon I made plans to see the moment I knew I'd be visiting Sin City. Here's an easy hint; I kept my underwear on during the show.

Thanks as always for dropping by and check back soon.
